Stikwood Interviews Stacy Miller

Stacy Miller sits down with Tiffany Seeger of Stikwood for an interview in their “Designer Spotlight Series”, a series exploring what inspires, as well as insights to approach in creating beautiful spaces.

Stikwood: How long have you been in business as an interior designer?

Stacy: 20 years.

Stikwood: Tell us a bit about your business and experience:

Stacy: After earning a degree in Communications from Northwestern University and working for several years in public relations, I followed my passion and returned to school for 3 years to earn a degree in interior design. My career in interiors began in Chicago working in the hospitality and commercial arena. I now reside and practice in Jupiter, Florida, spending more time on residential interiors. Like most designers, I have been influenced by so many people and spaces along the way and I hope that enhances my work and the services I provide my clients.

Stikwood: We love how effortlessly you seem to bring personality into your designs. How has Stikwood played a part in helping you do so?

Stacy: Stikwood has helped me to easily, and affordably, bring visual interest, texture and warmth into spaces. It’s an easy product to work with and offers a great return on investment.

Stikwood: What would you say is your “signature style”?

Stacy: My primary focus is what I call “collaborative design.” I believe that the successful design of a space hinges on the functional requirements and aesthetic desires of the people who inhabit the space. I enjoy working…..
